Ka Lauhoe
Aloha and mālama are our core Hawaiian values that lead to strong pilina with keiki, ʻohana, mākua and kaiāulu (community). However, our primary kuleana, as Ke Aliʻi Pauahi modeled for us, is to surround our keiki with pilina - full with aloha and mālama - through powerful interactions. How do we do this? Working as teams, Ka Lauhoe, is a cohesive and efficient approach to support our keiki, ʻohana or mākua (parents).
The use of a team approach is a way:
-
to live aloha with respect, sincerity and empathy.
-
to show mālama by caring for ourselves, each other and our ʻohana, mākua and kaiāulu.
-
to actively participate with others and to care for our responsibilities in our lives.
From these values we can build team relationships that are based on trust and understanding between each of us and our keiki, ʻohana, mākua and kaiāulu.
