Social Studies

Preschool provides keiki’s first experience with an organized community outside of their ‘ohana.  As part of the participation in the classroom daily routine, keiki are given the opportunity to make friends, solve problems, and engage in decision making. Additionally, as keiki engage with specific social studies content, they learn key concepts which support a positive self identity, a sense of belonging and their connection to others and the world around them. Through play and exploration of activities founded on Work Sampling System Online® (5th Edition) and E Ola!, keiki learn the following key social studies concepts.
